The Starriest Night in Beijing in recent memory....

if you read this, do your soul (or whatever) a favor and go outside and look up... (preferably away from any bright lights, or at least keep the lights out of your eyes/view)

the sky is actually full of stars...

Orion is spectacular,

you could see the Pleiades clear as in the Subaru logo

so nice to finally see above Beijing...

I was outside looking for a while, and saw a shooting star

Yes...you're right! The air is getting colder and drier with Winter coming on. Hopefully, we can see more of the wonderful night sky in the months to come.

Life is either a daring adventure or a walk in the park

Sounds nice. I just got my annual fix of starlight exposure hiking for 3 days around Moab, Utah. The dry, desert air really brings them out. Would be nice to see some over Beijing for a change. Hopefully they'll still be visible when I get back.

in the last few weeks, there have actually been several really nice starry nights,

really quite clear,

could see probably hundreds of stars in the sky (not bad for a major city by any comparison)

saw some more shooting stars
