This bar boasts a faithful Europhile crowd thanks to its shrub-lined patio, continental atmosphere and Italian-themed drinks menu. Grab a glass of wine or the infamous "Aperitivo cocktail" (white wine, tonic and flavoring, RMB 38). Bars & Clubs

The only way you’re going to feel like you’re in Italy is to cup your hands around your eyes and block out the rest of the street – but then you wouldn’t be able to pick up your aperitivo, would you? This little bar is about as authentically Italian as you can get, with tall bars, wine-based drinks (the eponymous aperitivo, made with white wine, tonic and fruit juice, comes for RMB 36), coffee (Italian, of course, RMB 18-22) and pastries (mostly under RMB 20). Particularly pleasing is the little dish of pickled peppers and olives that comes with a drink order – the perfect accompaniment to wine or beer. The interior may be teeny, but the area is almost doubled by the storefront patio, the perfect spot to feel Mediterranean. May 04
