Mosto

Mosto serves sensible food at a reasonable price. The hacienda façade leads to a smart contemporary interior with an open kitchen and bar. It has a funky wine list at reasonable prices, well though out dishes with South American influences and a friendly staff. Set lunch menus RMB 70 and a la carte dinner menu.

Tried this place for dinner a while back and was very pleased. The price for the set dinner was OK (like Alameda and SALT) and I think the dining room was pretty cool and dynamic. The service and food was very good and we where overall happy.

Very good lunch set, quality food, price not outrageous, noisy dining room

Had a very tasty set lunch at Mosto yesterday. The salad with artichokes, almonds and prunes was excellent and the salmon entree also delicious, though the vanilla sauce gave it a bit of an odd flavor to my palate (as if my fish were served with a scoop of warm ice cream).

The dining room is minimalists and clean and I sincerely appreciate the open kitchen concept where no secrets can be held -- it gives me a sense of confidence that as diners we're allowed to see how the food is prepared.

Like Alameda though its dining room is quite noisy, due to the minimalist decor and tight confines.

Business is brisk despite the fact that Nali mall seems stubbornly resistant to filling up with tenants.

Great lunch

I finally made it to this restaurant after hearing so much about it from friends and in the local magazines.

Went for lunch all my my lonesome without a reservation, no biggie that I had to sit at the bar. (Could have sit outside at a table but wanted to people watch)

Menu is comparable to Alameda and Salt with good prices. Only 70 RMB for 2 courses at lunch. First I had a fabulous corn soufflé and the tasty beef medallion with potatoes for main.

The manager was very kind and offered me a free glass of wine with my meal seeing how I was all alone at the bar. Of course I accepted- very nice staff with great service.

I did not have the dessert option as that was more than enough food, but I ended it with a nice cappuccino.

With tasty food, good prices and stellar service- I will defiantly be going back. A+
