Welcome to the Beijing International Chamber Orchestra!

In September 2007 professional Russian violinist Maria Nauen founded the Beijing International Orchestra (BIO) as an intercultural project to bring talented professional and amateur musicians of all nationalities together. The orchestra became popular very quickly and from the very start was loved by Beijing audiences. The orchestra soon became known as The Beijing International Chamber Orchestra (BICO) under the lead and direction of professional Russian violinist Maria Nauen, Since then many collaborations have been set up, these include The Beijing Playhouse, Art For Life, Under Broadway, foreign embassies and Beijing international communities.

During last year BICO performed several successful concerts such as The Charity Concert for the victims of earthquake in Sichuan Province, several concerts for Eton and Beijing City International School, German Embassy's Schools and a performance for the foreign embassies.
